The Pro's and Con's of Camera Cell Phones
All the major phone manufacturers are cashing in on the ever increasing market in camera phones. Companies such as Nokia, Siemens, Motorola and many more have seen their profits sore since the introduction of the camera cell phone. Many of the cell phone carriers are offering a free camera phone for new customers to their networks.
What are the benefits of owning a camera cell phone?
Yes the camera cell phone is a luxury and very affordable to buy but the there are many advantages to having such a phone. How many times have you been in a position where you wished if only I had a camera Its easy to send a picture to friends or family who may live far away or overseas. Pictures saved on the camera can be easily uploaded to your home computer. Camera phones today offer high resolution photos with red eye reduction and different zoom options. You can take an excellent scenic photo and set it uniquely setup as your background image. The quality of the photo will depend on the type of phone you purchase but overall the camera phone is an excellent purchase.
Disadvantages of owning a camera cell phone:
Like everything there is always a downside. Camera cell phones have a number of disadvantages over standard cell phones. Firstly they are generally more expensive to buy. Sending photos to friends or family from your cell phone is a costly activity. You need to check with your cell phone carrier to see the rates. It is much more expensive than sending a general text. Sometimes the quality of the photo is not as clear as you may have expected. Some people find it difficult to focus the lens using the phone.
It can be costly if the lens gets cracked and needs to be replaced (some camera phone lens cannot be replaced and the whole phone will need to be changed)
Remember if you are purchasing a camera cell phone go the extra mile and get insurance. Unfortunately in todays world they are the type of gadget that pick pockets only love.
What is the cheapest way to get a camera cell phone?
If you a new user to the mobile world check out the different cell phone promotions offered by the carriers such as Cingular, T-Mobile, Verizon and others. These types of companies will offer free camera phones if you sign up to their network. Generally the camera phone will not be the top of the range but certainly good enough for you to practice with as your first camera cell phone. Once you have been on the network (generally for 6 months to one year) you may be entitled to an upgrade / trade in (check with the carrier before you sign any contracts).
Photo and movies:
Apart from photos most camera cell phones can act as a mini camcorder. You generally get a 30 second movie feature with even the basic camera phone. You can even upload or sync the movie clip you have just created to your PC and transfer to the Internet or simply email it to friends or family. This feature is ideal for special occasions such as birthdays or even a wedding clip for those who cannot travel.
Overview:
The camera cell phone is by far the best seller on todays market. Very popular with people of all ages. They are convenient and generally inexpensive to run (providing you do not abuse sending photos all the time to friends). If you are not at the level of a professional photographer and just want the party or fun pictures the camera cell phone is ideal, small and tidy to carry and mostly good quality pictures.
Remember to shop around for the best offers and ask the different carriers their rates for sending pictures MMS. You will be surprised at the different rates offered. Camera cell phones are also available as a prepaid cell phone but remember, prepaid cell phones a more expensive than one with line rental and MMS rates are generally very high per text.

Avermedia Digital Video Surveillance System NV3000
Main Features Customer Review: Excellent home security The card is as easy to install as any other. I run it under XP Pro on an old AMD AthlonXP and everything works just fine. The pack-in software is an incredible value--I wasn't expecting something as mature and polished. The software might be worth the purchase price of the card. I replaced a Lorex Time-Lapse VCR with this for less than the cost to repair the Lorex, and haven't looked back. I retain a month's worth of video at better quality than the VCR with no tape-juggling. Also, being able to keep an eye on my house from work with a browser is a very nice upgrade. sony digital camera A Featured digital slr camera Article Lights, Camera, Action WE BECOME WHAT WE DO Because we always have control over the doing component of our behavior, if we markedly change that component, we cannot avoid changing the thinking, feeling, and physiological components as well. Dr. Roberto Assagioli called this technique of controlling what we do acting as if . . . If we are sad or depressed, it is difficult, if not impossible, to become cheerful or serene through a direct act of will. It IS within our power to smooth our forehead, lift our head, smile, and speak words of harmony, optimism, confidence, and joy. The use of this technology will actually change our emotional state. Little by little, and sometimes rapidly, the emotional state will follow, adapt itself to, and match the attitude and external behavior. The great acting coach Constantin Stanislavsky called aligned principles simply the method. What almost unimaginable, and transcendent, freedom we have. Act as we want to be, and we will become it. We do not have to be slaves to our emotions, our psychological barbs, our internal weather. We just need to imagine how we want to be and then put it into ACTION. WHISTLING IN THE DARK Our emotions are chemicals. (For more about emotions and chemicals, read Candace Perts _Molecules of Emotion_.) Whistling in the dark, acting confident when we are scared, changes our emotions. Our chemical self changes and we have the chemicals of confidence. We are confident! No longer just acting the part. Lets all become actors today. Who will you be? BETTER LIVING THROUGH CHEMISTRY A queen in your court? Don that invisible crown and wave your imaginary scepter at life, commanding not cowering. Start now, Your Highness. Oh, so high. A tycoon? Walk like a trillionaire. Get the chemicals of a magnate coursing through your blood and bones and you will become a magnet for riches -- the Midas method turning all to gold. A jewel of joy? Put on a happy face, add a bounce to your step, and open your arms wide to life. To paraphrase some song I heard long ago, say loudly when you open your arms: Im big! Im glad! Im nationwide! Those chemicals of delight will soon stream through every cell. Acting as if lets you design a new life. Shall we hold an Oscar night? You can turn your role into a day-to-day reality. You will win much more than an Oscar. AND TODAY . . . Decide who you are going to be today. Confident? Optimistic? Vibrant? Playful? Patient? Successful? Loving? What do you really want? Sit for a while and imagine how you would act if you were that person. Make notes on posture, gestures, tone of voice, manner of dressing, way of walking, enunciation, expressions, sound and action of laughing, topics of conversation, youll think of more as you wholly and completely and fully imagine this new you. Take time with this exercise, no less than ten minutes. Then stand up and begin to play the part. Go to the mirror and perfect your acting. This will be fun. You are doing what you loved to do as a child -- make believe. You have not lost that skill to make believe. You just need to let it out on stage today. Your acting will change every molecule in your body. Not to mention your life. Today you are the director, the actor, and the producer all rolled (and roled) into one transforming performance. Ready? Roll those cameras. The first scene starts now. Action! Celestron 93588 Astro Night Vision Flashlight
Celestron 93588 Astro Night Vision Flashlight
The Night Vision Flashlight is Celestron's premium model for astronomy, using two red LEDs to preserve night vision better than red filters or other devices. Brightness is adjustable. It operates on a single 9-volt battery.
Customer Review: A helpful tool in the dark
Sure, it's expensive for a flashlight. But - it's cross-section is square, so it doesn't roll away in the dark. The brightness is adjustable so you can tone it down after your eyes have become accustomed to the darkness. The lanyard is very long, so you have a lot of freedom of movement, but it won't get lost easily. Unlike a headlamp, you won't find yourself bonking it against the telescope accidentally.
About the only thing I can think to complain about is the use of a 9V battery...come on! Every other flashlight this size on the planet uses AA size batteries, and I own a pile of rechargeable AAs...but not a single 9V. Recommended.
Customer Review: rating Red Light
I own 4 of these flashlights. They are great for what I need it for but I find the light switch to be a tad difficult to maneuver. It is a wheel located perpendicular to the thumb, with the outer most edge too much embedded into the box. It makes it tough to slide back and forth. You better have sandpaper skin on your thumb for better grip. If you have sweaty hands, forget it. Will I buy it again? Of course, it's probably the best there is. It just needs a little re-design.

Cuisinart CSB-77 Smart Stick Hand Blender with Whisk and Chopper Attachments

Housed in handsome brushed stainless steel, this compact hand blender features a powerful 200-watt motor and three separate attachments that quickly and easily create smooth soups, whipped creams, purees and much more. Simple one-handed operation with push-button control and an ergonomic comfort-grip handle. Three-year limited warranty.
Customer Review: A great stick blender
It is durable, easy to use, and does a great job. For me, it is a replacement of one that burned out at an awkward time. This one looks as though it would never burn out. It is easy to clean and disassemble. A longer cord would be nice, but it isn't bad.
Customer Review: Poor quality
Even though it looks like it's made of stainless steal, the working parts are made of plastic which wears out very quickly. My lasted less than a month. The plastic teeth inside the upper part grinded to flat. Poor quality. Shame on Cuisinart.

Customer Review: Cuisinart convection breadmakr
I bought this product so I could make gluten-free breads and the first loaf I made turned out much better than my old breadmaker since it has gluten-free cycle.
Customer Review: Outstanding!
I have had other bread machines, but none quite like this beauty!
It is so very easy to make terrific bread, now I do not even buy bread.
The downside, it is large and during the mixing and kneading process, very noisy. Fortunately my laundry room/pantry adjoins the kitchen. I fill the bread maker pan in the kitchen, then put it into the machine and close the kitchen door. Perfect bread every time! The cookbook that came with it is great also.

Customer Review: Buy it!
Got this for my sons 22nd birthday gift (he was always borrowing an ice cream maker from a family member). We had him open this gift first so he could make his own ice cream for his birthday. Came out wonderful and creamy and was a big enough batch to feed the whole crew. Very pleased.

Garmin GSC 10 Speed Cadence Sensor for Edge and Forerunner Series (010-10644-00)
Garmin GSC 10 Speed Cadence Sensor for Edge and Forerunner Series (010-10644-00)
A good companion for Garmin's Edge 305 and 305CAD cycle computers and the Garmin Forerunner 305 personal trainer, the GSC 10 monitors your cycling rhythm for up-to-the-minute results and later analysis. The self-calibrating, wireless unit measures both speed (in pedaling strokes per minute) and cadence , then provides feedback to the user for optimal performance. You can later feed the results to Garmin's Training Center software, which helps you tailor your workouts to meet specific goals and objectives.
Like the Garmin heart rate monitor, the GSC 10 attaches easily to your bike, where its sensors detect signals from your wheels and send the information wirelessly to your personal trainer/cycle computer. It's also backed by a one-year warranty.
Customer Review: What a training tool!!!
What a great training tool! I did not have a computer for my bike, but have been using my Garmin Forerunner 305 while running for some time now. I decided to purchase the cadence sensor, and am glad I did, what a great training tool and it has helped me improve my riding significantly. Highly recommended if you are serious about riding.
Customer Review: Homerun
This is my first cadence sensor so I do not have anything to compare it to. This cadence sensor combinded with my 305 has completely made my flightdeck obsolute. I was especially impressed by the auto-calibration for the speed sensor feature. No more need to measure your wheel size. Now, if Garmin can just figure out a cheap and acurate power meter there would be no need for more than one computer on your bike.
Olympus Floating Camera Strap - Orange (for 850SW and 1030SW Models)
Olympus Floating Camera Strap - Orange (for 850SW and 1030SW Models)
Compatible with Olympus Stylus 720SW, 725SW, 770SW, 790SW, 850SW or 1030SW digital cameras / Keeps cameras afloat and easy to find in the water
Customer Review: Works great
The floating strap for the camera is super lightweight and small, it works great. It has a tiny loop on the top of the orange part that I'm assuming would be good to hook keychains or to hang on a hook or something. I'm not really sure, I haven't found a use for it but you can just fit a finger through it. Otherwise, a great produc - you'll definitely need something like this if you're using an underwater camera in the ocean. I have an Olympus Stylus 1030SW camera and it goes up to 33ft underwater but if it were to sink lower than that it would basically die, so getting the floating camera strap was a necessity. I think it comes in other colors but the orange is what I have and it's great!
Olympus Silicone Skin for the Stlus 790SW and 850SW Digital Cameras, Clear
Olympus Silicone Skin for the Stlus 790SW and 850SW Digital Cameras, Clear
Durable, silicon protective skin protects your OLympus Stylus 790SW against dust, bumps and scratches while giving you complete control of all the camera functions. The built-in feet stabilize the camera on uneven surfaces. Color: Clear.
Customer Review: Silicone Skin Cover
I like the idea of the silicone cover so that I can put my camera in my bag without it getting scratched and I do not have to use another case for the camera. The only thing I have to say is a pain with this cover is that when you want to change the battery or plug it into the computer you have to remove the silicone skin. Overall it is not bad, after all other cameras do not even have this option.
Customer Review: sticky
This product is a great idea and a good investment to protect your camera but it would be nice if the material they used didn't pick up every piece of sand or lint or cat hair.

Customer Review: good value
Pros: Good sound quality. Many channel selections so you don't have to share the net with others. I've used them all day long without any battery problems. I can wear the included headset inside my ATV helmet if I cover my ear with my hand as I jam the helmet on. This makes communication with my buddies during an ATV ride much more convenient. I'll eventually buy the headset made specifically for installation in a helmet.
Cons: The charger doesn't automatically turn off when the batteries are fully charged. The VOX feature was frustrating to use. I tried it at several sensitivity levels while riding ATVs. It would either transmit while I wasn't speaking or not transmit at the beginning of whatever I wanted to say. Perhaps the VOX works fine without the noisy ATVs - I don't know.
Overall, a worthwhile purchase.
Customer Review: Good, except around hills
We got these to use around the farm so when one of us is down with the animals, we can still communicate with the other person in the house. For this, they work great. They have more features than we need so, if we were to buy 2-ways again, we'd probably go with a cheaper model. The reason we sprung for this more expensive set is that we figured if we were going to have 2-ways, we could also carry them with us when walking our dogs on the back of the property in case one runs off or somebody gets hurt, we could call to the person back home. But even just a quarter-mile from our house (let alone the 26 miles it's billed as working over), we can't communicate with each other. There's a hill between us, but again, it's just a quarter-mile of distance. I would've thought these could handle at least that, but no.
